Ivan O. Davis – Liberty Library | Liberty, Maine

The mission of the Ivan O. Davis – Liberty Library is to identify and to be responsive to the changing needs of the community. The library will assemble, preserve and circulate print and non-print materials to meet those needs. The library will serve the community as a center of reliable information. The library will be constantly aware and promote the evolving technologies available to fulfill the role as a service oriented library. The Liberty Library will offer a friendly and comfortable atmosphere for residents and visitors to the community, as well as being a focal point of the town.

For over 20 years, the Liberty Library has provided the residents of Liberty and Montville with social and cultural programs and a variety of ever-changing materials. In 2014, we loaned over 5000 items. Our technologies are always being updated as time and money permits. Along with the part-time Director, the library operates with the help of many dedicated volunteers.

Being able to serve the community with reliable resources such as technology is beneficial for all who need to send emails, write documents, or print off files. For Liberty Library to continue to provide for their patrons they wish to upgrade to new safer equipment for their users.
